Just over a week from today is our little soap company’s ten year anniversary. Since the beginning, we’ve been honored by the trust everyone has put in us and did our very best to make sure that trust was well placed. Every time we see an order come through, we are immensely grateful. But never more so than now.
At Whispering Willow, we’ve always aimed to be positive folks. We do our best to see the bright side in every situation. The glass half full. The silver lining. But, we need to pause for a moment to inject a tiny bit of honesty. Small businesses across the country are scared right now. Setting the personal fears aside, many of these businesses are like us: just a few people working together that have built something they loved over time.
Like many of us trying to navigate this new reality, small business owners are getting endlessly creative in how they can continue to serve their customers. Some are offering free contact-less delivery. Others are offering porch pickup. A few have private shopping hours by appointment. And, of course, you can always buy online.
Whispering Willow has always been an online business. We continue to ship orders daily and we are ecstatic that so many are choosing to purchase our hand soap and salve to protect themselves.
Many of our stockists have been forced to close their doors. We've seen some shop owners packing amazing Coronavirus care packages and shipping them out of their empty shops. Others are holding Insta-try ons/demos daily. Or are rushing to load the contents of their shop online. Or offering free local delivery. You can click through our stockist locator to find their websites to see each of their current statuses. Shopping through one of our stockists is supporting two business - ours and theirs.
All this to say: we encourage you to support these small businesses of all kinds if you can. Help them to make it through these tough times so they’ll still be there when we get to the other side. We can assure you that each order is met with true appreciation on the other end.
