When you run a small business, holidays always come early. Here at Whispering Willow we start to think of Mother's Day as soon as April begins. Wayne and I are lucky enough to both still have our mothers in our lives. We speak to them often and my mother is close enough that we are able to see her a couple times a month. We are grateful for them both.
We know for others, this time of year can be complicated. For those who struggle through Mother's Day for various reasons, our hearts go out to you.
As a childless by choice couple, Mother's Day can be a bit strange when we're not celebrating with our families. Some years, Wayne will buy me a gift or card from the pup which is super cute and always makes me giggle. (Wayne here: the dog picks it out entirely on her own - I have little to do with it!).
